Personal Care & Daily Living Support
We help with bathing, dressing, grooming, meals, and mobility, ensuring your loved one maintains comfort, dignity, and independence while feeling safe at home every day.
Caregiving Zen provides compassionate in-home care across Vaughan, offering personal support, companionship, dementia care, respite, and post-hospital assistance helping families nurture comfort, independence, and peace of mind every day.
Vaughan has about 52,690 residents over 65, roughly 16.3% of the city. We are based in Aurora, around half an hour north, and we support several Vaughan families.
Two facts from the City's own Age-Friendly Community Action Plan shape how we work here. About 22.1% of Vaughan's seniors live alone. And 18.7% of them — some 7,790 people — do not speak English. Italian is the most common mother tongue among Vaughan seniors, ahead of English, with Russian third. If the person you are arranging care for is more comfortable in Italian or Russian, say so when you call.

Vaughan covers 272 square kilometres and changes character as you cross it. We work in Woodbridge, Maple, Concord, Vellore Village, Patterson, Sonoma Heights, Islington Woods and out to Kleinburg and rural Vaughan.
The eastern edge of the city — Beverley Glen, Brownridge, Crestwood-Springfarm-Yorkhill, Lakeview Estates, Uplands and Glen Shields — is the Vaughan side of Thornhill. Our Thornhill page covers that community on both sides of Yonge Street.
Vaughan adopted an Age-Friendly Community Action Plan in April 2022, built on the World Health Organization's eight domains. The Seniors Association of Vaughan Initiatives runs roughly twenty clubs with over 5,500 members between them. Where someone still goes, getting them there is part of the care plan.

We help with bathing, dressing, grooming, meals, and mobility, ensuring your loved one maintains comfort, dignity, and independence while feeling safe at home every day.

Our caregivers bring warmth and connection through conversation, hobbies, and activities, helping residents stay emotionally strong, socially active, and joyfully engaged in their daily lives.

We provide expert support for families facing memory-related challenges, managing confusion and anxiety with patience, structured routines, and activities that promote comfort.

Take a well-deserved break knowing your loved one is cared for by professionals who offer dependable, short-term support with compassion and understanding whenever you need relief.

Our caregivers ensure smooth recovery after hospital discharge, managing medications, meals, mobility, and follow-ups so your loved one can heal safely and comfortably at home.
We start with a free in-home assessment to understand needs, preferences, and routines, then create a personalized care plan tailored to your family’s situation.
We carefully select a caregiver based on personality, skills, and compatibility to ensure your loved one feels comfortable and supported throughout their care journey.
We continuously review care plans, communicate with families, and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality, consistency, and satisfaction for every client we serve.
Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital on Major Mackenzie Drive West opened in 2021 — the first hospital built in Vaughan, and the first new hospital in Ontario in more than thirty years. It is where most Vaughan residents are now discharged from. Families on the Thornhill side are often discharged from Mackenzie Richmond Hill instead.
Discharge is the hard moment. The hospital needs the bed before the family has the house ready. We can put a caregiver in the home for that first night and stay as long as recovery takes.
Vaughan's long-term care homes include Villa Colombo on Highway 27 in Kleinburg, which provides care with Italian-Canadian cultural and linguistic sensitivity, Villa Leonardo Gambin and Kristus Darzs Latvian Home in Woodbridge, and Sherwood Court and the York Region Maple Health Centre in Maple. Publicly funded home care is arranged through Ontario Health atHome's Central area.

Our caregivers receive continuous training in senior support, dementia care, and safety practices, ensuring your loved one receives consistent, professional assistance every single day.
We design care around your loved one’s lifestyle, health needs, and preferences, giving every family truly personalized support that evolves as circumstances change.
We keep families informed with regular updates, ensuring open communication, transparency, and peace of mind for every client we serve.
We’re proud to serve communities with care that’s grounded in empathy, respect, and a deep understanding of local families’ needs and values.
