Caregiving Zen provides compassionate in home care across Aurora, offering personal support, companionship, dementia care, respite, and post-hospital assistance helping families nurture comfort, independence, and peace of mind every day.
Aurora is home. Our office is here, our caregivers live here, and we are supporting several Aurora families at any given time.
About 9,560 Aurora residents are over 65 — roughly 15.4% of the town at the 2021 Census. What stands out is the rate of change: that number grew by about a third in the five years from 2016, the fastest increase of any municipality we serve. A great many Aurora households are having the conversation about home care for the first time, and most of them would rather not move a parent anywhere.

We work across Aurora Village, Aurora Highlands, Bayview Wellington, the Hills of St Andrew, Aurora Estates and out into rural Aurora. Being based in town means a caregiver is rarely more than a few minutes away, which matters most on the days when plans change.
Aurora's housing is mostly single detached homes, and that shapes almost every care plan we write. Stairs are usually where the conversation starts — getting up them safely, or rearranging life around the ground floor. We plan for the house as it actually is.
Where someone still wants to get to the Aurora Seniors' Centre on John West Way for a class or a game, getting them there is part of the plan, not an extra.

We help with bathing, dressing, grooming, meals, and mobility, ensuring your loved one maintains comfort, dignity, and independence while feeling safe at home every day.

Our caregivers bring warmth and connection through conversation, hobbies, and activities, helping residents stay emotionally strong, socially active, and joyfully engaged in their daily lives.

We provide expert support for families facing memory-related challenges, managing confusion and anxiety with patience, structured routines, and activities that promote comfort.

Take a well-deserved break knowing your loved one is cared for by professionals who offer dependable, short-term support with compassion and understanding whenever you need relief.

Our caregivers ensure smooth recovery after hospital discharge, managing medications, meals, mobility, and follow-ups so your loved one can heal safely and comfortably at home.
We start with a free in-home assessment to understand needs, preferences, and routines, then create a personalized care plan tailored to your family’s situation.
We carefully select a caregiver based on personality, skills, and compatibility to ensure your loved one feels comfortable and supported throughout their care journey.
We continuously review care plans, communicate with families, and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality, consistency, and satisfaction for every client we serve.
Aurora has no hospital of its own. Most Aurora residents are admitted to and discharged from Southlake Regional Health Centre on Davis Drive in Newmarket, about ten minutes up Yonge Street.
Discharge is the moment care plans tend to fall apart. The hospital is ready before the house is — the bed is needed, the family is still arranging things, and someone is coming home to stairs they managed differently a week ago. We can have a caregiver in the home for that first night.
Publicly funded home care in Aurora is arranged through Ontario Health atHome's Central area. Plenty of families use both: the public allocation for clinical visits, and us for the hours around it.

Our caregivers receive continuous training in senior support, dementia care, and safety practices, ensuring your loved one receives consistent, professional assistance every single day.
We design care around your loved one’s lifestyle, health needs, and preferences, giving every family truly personalized support that evolves as circumstances change.
We keep families informed with regular updates, ensuring open communication, transparency, and peace of mind for every client we serve.
We’re proud to serve communities with care that’s grounded in empathy, respect, and a deep understanding of local families’ needs and values.
All of it — Aurora Village, Aurora Highlands, Bayview Wellington, the Hills of St Andrew, Aurora Estates and rural Aurora. Our office is in town, so a caregiver is rarely more than a few minutes away.
