Personal Care & Daily Living Support
We help with bathing, dressing, grooming, meals, and mobility, ensuring your loved one maintains comfort, dignity, and independence while feeling safe at home every day.
Caregiving Zen provides compassionate in-home care across King City, offering personal support, companionship, dementia care, respite, and post-hospital assistance helping families nurture comfort, independence, and peace of mind every day.
We are based in Aurora, about twenty minutes east of King City, and we support several families across the township.
King is the largest municipality in York Region and the smallest by population: 332 square kilometres holding about 27,333 people, roughly 82 per square kilometre. Around 4,450 residents are over 65, about 16.3% of the township. Spread thinly over that much ground, home care is a different job here than it is in a subdivision.

King is three villages and a scatter of hamlets — King City, Nobleton and Schomberg, with Pottageville, Kettleby, Laskay, Snowball, Lloydtown and Ansnorveldt between them. We work across all of it, and we are honest about the geography: King City is about twenty minutes from our Aurora office, Nobleton and Schomberg closer to half an hour.
That distance is why we usually suggest longer scheduled shifts in King rather than short daily visits. A caregiver who is with you for six hours does more good here than three separate half-hour calls, and it is more reliable in February.
About a quarter of the township is forest, a third sits on the Greenbelt and two thirds on the Oak Ridges Moraine. Long driveways, scattered addresses and winter road access are real operational facts, not scenery.

We help with bathing, dressing, grooming, meals, and mobility, ensuring your loved one maintains comfort, dignity, and independence while feeling safe at home every day.

Our caregivers bring warmth and connection through conversation, hobbies, and activities, helping residents stay emotionally strong, socially active, and joyfully engaged in their daily lives.

We provide expert support for families facing memory-related challenges, managing confusion and anxiety with patience, structured routines, and activities that promote comfort.

Take a well-deserved break knowing your loved one is cared for by professionals who offer dependable, short-term support with compassion and understanding whenever you need relief.

Our caregivers ensure smooth recovery after hospital discharge, managing medications, meals, mobility, and follow-ups so your loved one can heal safely and comfortably at home.
We start with a free in-home assessment to understand needs, preferences, and routines, then create a personalized care plan tailored to your family’s situation.
We carefully select a caregiver based on personality, skills, and compatibility to ensure your loved one feels comfortable and supported throughout their care journey.
We continuously review care plans, communicate with families, and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality, consistency, and satisfaction for every client we serve.
There is no hospital in King Township. Depending on where you live, you may be discharged from Southlake in Newmarket or from Mackenzie Health — Richmond Hill for the east of the township, Cortellucci Vaughan for the south. Ask the discharge planner which one applies to your address; it is not obvious from a map.
There is also, as far as the provincial register shows, exactly one licensed long-term care home in the whole township: King City Lodge on Fog Road, with 36 beds. For a township of 27,000 people that is the whole residential option. In practice, King residents who want to stay in King age at home, because the alternatives are somewhere else.
Publicly funded home care here is arranged through Ontario Health atHome's Central area. The King City Seniors Centre on King Road, and the programs at Nobleton and Schomberg, are worth knowing about — King spreads its 55+ programming across the villages rather than centralising it.

Our caregivers receive continuous training in senior support, dementia care, and safety practices, ensuring your loved one receives consistent, professional assistance every single day.
We design care around your loved one’s lifestyle, health needs, and preferences, giving every family truly personalized support that evolves as circumstances change.
We keep families informed with regular updates, ensuring open communication, transparency, and peace of mind for every client we serve.
We’re proud to serve communities with care that’s grounded in empathy, respect, and a deep understanding of local families’ needs and values.
Yes, and the hamlets between them — Pottageville, Kettleby, Laskay, Snowball, Lloydtown and Ansnorveldt. King City is about twenty minutes from our Aurora office and Nobleton and Schomberg closer to half an hour, so out that way we usually suggest longer scheduled shifts rather than short daily visits.
