At about 242 people per square kilometre, the town is roughly a seventh as dense as Markham.
We plan around that. Longer scheduled shifts work better than short visits once you are outside Stouffville proper, and we would rather say so at the outset than over-promise a schedule that falls apart on a bad winter morning.

Markham Stouffville Hospital Is Not In Stouffville
Despite the name, Markham Stouffville Hospital is on Church Street in Markham, roughly half an hour from the town. It is still the hospital most residents here are discharged from — Oak Valley Health's Eastern York Region and North Durham team covers Stouffville explicitly.
That distance is precisely why the days after discharge are hard here. Family cannot pop in on the way past, and a follow-up appointment is an expedition. We can put a caregiver in the home from the first night and handle the driving.
Parkview Home on Weldon Road is the town's long-term care home, with 128 beds, and Parkview Village next to it offers independent living. Publicly funded home care is arranged through Ontario Health atHome's Central area.
